After successful high school coaching stints at Abington, Malvern Prep and Souderton High, Holt came to Gwynedd Mercy University with the intentions of turning the Griffin Tennis Programs around after inheriting a team that had gone 4-48 in the previous five years. Holt made the West Chester University tennis team his freshman year, and did so, in huge part because of his athletic background (a blend of tennis, soccer, hockey, football, baseball & wrestling). Later, he accepted the position of full time Senior Staff Pro at Northampton Tennis and Fitness in Richboro, Pa where he worked with adults and juniors of all levels in private and group settings for 10 years. After developing and teaching instructional programs for Upper Southampton Township and Spring Mill Country Club, Bill became head pro and Director of Tennis at Ron Jaworski’s Golds Gym and Tennis in Langhorne, Pa. He played high school tennis at Holy Ghost Prep, college tennis at LaSalle University, then local MSTA tournaments.
